Artists, through various media express outrage, sadness, and concern about guns and the death and destruction they produce. Artists have a unique role to play within the global struggle for peace and the elimination of gun violence in our country. The exhibit was presented by Women's Caucus for the Arts and supported by Moms Demand Action , and Mothers of Murdered Children.

Glass Ceiling: Limitless View

Glass Ceiling: Limitless View presents a dynamic and carefully curated selection of contemporary artists’ reflections on the concept of the Glass Ceiling as well as the Limitless View that one can have regardless of where you perceive your position relative to the Glass Ceiling. Artists were asked "Where and how has the idea of the Glass Ceiling affected you? What joys and/or sorrows do you relate to gender or to society’s notion of gender? Power? Potential? Limitless view?" 80 artists submitted work for consideration, and 13 artists' work was selected, including the work of: Beverly Alomepe, June August, Rachelle Beaudoin, Sally Bomer, Merill Comeau, Tanya Fletcher, Samantha Jones, Heather Lyon, Aimee Margolis, Annette Mitchell, Laura Morrison, Ashley Normal, and Dayna Talbot.

WCA Lifetime Achievement Awards

Award Ceremony
A Lifetime Achievement Award was given to four outstanding women artists during national Women's Caucus for Art Annual Conference in New York City. Recipients were Charlene Teters, Mary Schmidt Campbell, Audrey Flack, and Martha Rosler. Each was given a full introduction, reviewing many of their contributions over the course of their careers. During their acceptance speeches, each artist reviewed her philosophies, artist/art activities of the past as well as current engagement. They shared images of their artworks.
