WCA INTERNATIONAL CAUCUS
"Women Do It! Traveling Postcard Exhibition"

Purpose/UN Themes: ”Women Do It!” was inspired by and highlights the work of  UN Women’s HeForShe campaign, its Beijing+20 program and  in their efforts toward advancing women’s rights and gender equality in society, economics and politics.  

Artist Prompt: What are noteworthy achievements by women? What impacts have women had on the economy, human rights, education, environment, world health, religion, politics and peace? Who are our women and girl heroes in our family and in our community? Which women do you admire in leadership, public service, sports and in the arts?

Results/Participation:  Over 350 postcards were received by Fall 2015. Individual artists, mail artists, students, children, activists and concerned individuals of all genders and ages as well as classrooms and organizations were invited to create altered or hand-made postcards.

"Half the Sky: Intersections in Social Practice Art" documentary video

Purpose:  To document and share the socially-engaged aspects of and participant responses to "Half the Sky: Intersections in Social Practice Art", the art-based cultural exchange and exhibition between artists and essayists juried through WCA and women artists curated in China.  

Venue:  This video was shown at the Women's Caucus for Art annual conference in February, 2015, New York City and at the

"Women Artists Consider Our World"

​Purpose: One hour video of artwork of members of Women's Caucus for Art which represents the MDG's/SDG's.  
Venue: Presented during CSW 59 at UN Church Center.  It has also been shown privately in educational environments.
